Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Prescription Point ("the Platform", "we", "us"), a digital prescription management system operated by PixelHope for registered doctors, their receptionists, and patients in Bangladesh. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- Doctor — a BMDC-registered physician who holds the primary account and is responsible for all clinical content created under it.
- Receptionist — a staff account invited by a Doctor, scoped strictly to that Doctor's patients and chambers, with no ability to create or sign prescriptions.
- Patient — the passive, non-logging-in recipient of a prescription, whose records are created and controlled by a Doctor or their Receptionist.
- Chamber — a practice location (clinic/chamber) profile a Doctor maintains, used to brand printed prescriptions.
- Prescription — a digital clinical record created by a Doctor, printable on chamber letterhead and optionally delivered to a Patient by SMS link.
3. Eligibility & account verification
Doctor accounts must be registered with a valid Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC) registration number and supporting documentation. New Doctor accounts are created in a pending state and cannot create prescriptions until manually reviewed and approved by a Platform Admin. We may reject an application, request additional documentation, or suspend an account at any time if we reasonably believe the registration information is false, expired, or fraudulent.
Receptionist accounts are created and managed solely by the inviting Doctor, who is responsible for that Receptionist's conduct on the Platform.
4. Account responsibilities & security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Doctors are responsible for the conduct of the Receptionist accounts they create. Notify us immediately at support@prescription-point.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
5. Description of service
The Platform lets Doctors create structured digital prescriptions, maintain a searchable patient record per Doctor (demographics, allergies, chronic conditions, visit history), print prescriptions on chamber letterhead, and optionally deliver a non-expiring digital copy to the patient via SMS link. Once finalized, a prescription is immutable — it cannot be edited or deleted. Corrections are made only by issuing a new prescription explicitly marked as amending/superseding the original; both versions remain visible in the patient's history.
6. Medical responsibility & disclaimer
The Platform is a record-keeping and productivity tool. It does not practice medicine, does not provide medical advice, and does not review, verify, or endorse any clinical content entered by a Doctor. Each Doctor is solely and fully responsible for the accuracy of diagnoses, treatments, dosages, and all other clinical content in every prescription they create, and for complying with applicable BMDC codes of conduct and Bangladeshi healthcare regulations. The Platform assumes no liability for clinical decisions made using it.
7. Subscription, fees & billing
The Platform is offered as a paid subscription service, typically preceded by a free trial period. Payment is currently collected outside an automated gateway (e.g. via bKash or Nagad) and manually confirmed by a Platform Admin, who marks the subscription as trial, active, or expired accordingly. If a subscription expires or lapses, the account becomes read-only: existing patients, prescriptions, and chambers remain viewable, but no new patients, prescriptions, or receptionist invitations can be created until the subscription is renewed. Fees paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Patient data & confidentiality
Patient records are entered and controlled by the Doctor (or their Receptionist) and remain strictly scoped to that Doctor — no other Doctor or Receptionist can access them. Doctors are responsible for obtaining any patient consent required by law before entering patient information into the Platform, and for maintaining doctor-patient confidentiality consistent with BMDC ethical guidelines.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not misrepresent your identity, medical registration, or authority to act on behalf of a Doctor.
- Do not share account credentials or allow unauthorized persons to access the Platform.
- Do not attempt to access another Doctor's patients, prescriptions, or chamber data.
- Do not use the Platform to create fraudulent, unlawful, or misleading prescriptions or records.
- Do not interfere with, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Platform's operation.
10. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, branding, and the "Prescription Point" name and mark, is owned by PixelHope and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. Patient and prescription data you enter remains associated with your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party providers for functions such as SMS delivery of prescription links and payment collection (e.g. bKash, Nagad). We are not responsible for outages, delays, or failures caused by these third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate a Doctor account — which also locks out that Doctor's Receptionist accounts — for violation of these Terms, applicable law, or BMDC ethical standards, for non-payment, or for fraudulent registration. Previously issued patient SMS share links continue to work after suspension, as they are historical records rather than new Platform access. You may request account closure at any time by contacting us.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PixelHope is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any clinical, medical, or treatment outcomes arising from use of the Platform. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Bangladesh.
14. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
